I am so feelin’ Mos Def’s style nowadays… sorry have not gotten used to his new (yet not new) name change to… Yasiin Bey, apparently it’s been going on since ‘99 because he was feeling more like a “product” than a person and I was left out of the loop… I digress. But his steez though!!! I am so, so into it… love the socks, the shoes, the hat, the pants + blazer… it’s a total knock out in my book.
Plus he is a fellow not matcher, eh hmm… thank you, I’m not the only one. Alas, here is what he has to say about it via his recent GQ expose:
"I like drawing connections between pieces and patterns that would make someone else think, ‘Those two things would never go together.’ Well, to me they do." GQ is now coining the phrase “mix and sorta match”… waa la… I’m loving it.
Hat’s off to the NEW not NEW Yassin Bey previously known as Most Def, born as Dante Terrell Smith. The end.
